Gorgeous corner studio

AuthorPostedbyadmin on on August 18, 2025

This studio has been rented. To find out about future openings, please join our mailing list for the most up-to-date information.

Available: 360 square feet of light-filled space, with sweeping neighborhood views through nine, count-em, nine tall windows that face south and west. In other words, the platonic ideal of an art studio. This gem is available October 1, 2025 (or possibly sooner). The monthly rent of $990 covers utilities (including wifi & heat/ac).

Ceilings are 11′ in places in 9′ in others (it used to be an office so there is a partial drop-ceiling). Exposed brick surrounds the windows on the two exterior walls; the rest of the walls are a combination of drywall and painted mdf (it’s OK to make holes in them). There is a built-in shelf tucked into one corner.

The shared common areas include kitchenette, nice restrooms, a lobby area with seating, and opportunities to help curate and show art in the hall galleries and other nooks and crannies. We hold cooperatively-organized open studio events approximately twice a year. Spontaneous collaboration has been known to occur.

All studios are work-only, with 24/7 access. Leases are one year with a month-to-month default option after expiration. General liability insurance required.

The members of this community are serious about their art, professional, and supportive of other artists. We welcome all peoples and genders, and naturally expect anyone who joins us to do likewise.

If you are interested, please contact the proprietrix and tell her what you do and why you would make an excellent Biscaynito. If you have skills beyond your artwork that you’d be willing to share with the community—e.g., marketing, graphic design, public relations, tech skills, etc.—be sure to mention it!

Note on photos: The current tenant has been there a long time (and is moving out of town); she loves the space so much it looks like she’s filled it with everything she owns. More photos coming as she clears out.
