It’s time for our annual Holiday Open House, when ‘57 Biscayne resident artists open their studios and are joined by fabulous guest vendors, serenaded by the dulcet tunes of pianist Victor Janusz.
Shop local for handmade arty gifts like jewelry, reconstructed tin icons, paintings, prints, cosmopolitan lo-fi office supplies (for that person on your list who has everything), handprinted cards, olde style tintype photos, cocktail party accessories, hats, handbags, lamps handmade from recycled ephemera, and much more. Everything is made on site or darn close (except in the case of the cosmopolitan office supplies, but they’re so cool who cares?).
Downstairs at 108 Cherry Street, Amanda James Parker will be remounting her Lusty Lady video installation, Ghosts of Flesh Avenue, turning unsuspecting passersby into voyeurs. (The original video was shot here in the Good Arts Building, so it’s something of a homecoming.)
