Open House and the Square Deal benefit
Join us First Thursday, September 5, from 5pm to 8pm for our next open studios, featuring Square Deal, a benefit for the Movement Voter Project.
Starting at 5pm on Thursday, if you donate $200 or more directly to the Movement Voter Project through our dedicated link, you can pick out a piece of art by one of 50 fabulous Seattle artists, who were each given an 8″ x 8″ panel and created original work on them just for this show. Link will be available here as well, so you can participate from anywhere.
The Movement Voter Project vets and funds grassroots progressive organizations in swing states, to get out the vote, with a particular emphasis on youth and people of color, and supports candidates up and down the ballot. MVP doesn’t take a cut, so all the funds we raise go directly to the people on the ground.
’57 Biscayne will have lots of other art on display, too, of course. Visit painters, jewelers, sculptors, illustrators, writers, ceramicists, and mixed-media artists in their work spaces, and see the new show of in-house work we’re hanging in the galleries on both floors. Check out lots of other shows in the neighborhood. Free parking information here.
